This has been a long standing tradition in our house, and honestly, we’ve kind of been slacking on it. It stemmed from the idea that we own a lot of board games and a lot of books and we don’t set as much time aside for those things as we would like.
It also was meant to be an incentive for the kids to do more reading, but usually, they end up just wanting to go outside, which is the opposite of a problem. I think it’s probably time we went back to reinforcing this habit. It’s easy to get sidetracked when people are sick, or school projects are due. We have the desire to zone out or vegetate in front of the TV or on a video game. It’s Spring! It’s mostly warm, windows are open, it’s time we took our breaks from the phones, PCs, and TVs again.

P.S. I think one of my favorite things about Sunday posts, I don’t care if the headline analyzer says it’s good enough for SEO attention.
