Sometimes my wife says I’m too focused on the money. I don’t see frugality and savings as a money focus. To me, I’m motivated by Freedom. I want to wake up, drink my coffee catch up on a show or a game and head outside to make a garden.
I want to stop what I’m doing when the kids get home from school at 2:30 and ride a bike, throw a ball, or play a game with them. My motivation for Financial Freedom is to make a schedule on my own terms.
So far this website has generated $2.10 in revenue. YouTube and Spotify have earned $0, while X cost me $24. But during the short time since I started all this, I’ve produced almost $2,000 in dividends, $700 in covered calls, and roughly $3,500 in money from games, credit card churns, and new checking account bonuses.
This is why I’m always bringing up Discipline. Whenever I calculate my debt progress, or feel like I’m taking two steps back for every step forward because I drop $1,200 repairing a car, I feel the motivation slipping away. When that happens the only thing you can do is push forward. Stick to your plans, focus on your goals, and back it up with discipline.
Bring it on. You can do anything you set your mind to. I’ve got my goals in my sights and I’m going to keep chasing them.
