Yesterday, I spent a large amount of time working on the end-of-month post for tomorrow, and completely forgot about today.

We’re one month into summer break, and so far, the kids have been having a blast. The younger two are set to go to camp on Sunday, which will be loads of fun for them. The whole family will go to a really fun Fourth of July party at a friend of my mom’s house. We still need to plan a camping trip, a trip to the Renaissance Festival, and a visit with some buddies who are hosting a board game week north of Dayton.

I’ve been trying to take the kids on bike rides in the park; we’ve succeeded twice. Weather has been amazing and they’ve been spending plenty of time outside climbing trees, throwing frisbees, and making their own water slide out of a hose, soap, and a swingset slide.

What’s your best parenting advice for summer?
