I’ve been actively engaging in the Atlas Earth game while finishing off $100 extraction in my Branded account. If you recall my first post about it, I tested with $100 put into the game.

Since then, I have also participated in their paid ladder ($10 per month) for October. This resulted in 10 extra parcels and 1 item to upgrade any parcel to legendary status. The net value of that, when you are sub-151 parcels, is around $13 per year. Once you reach the 151-220 tier (x20 instead of x30 on boosts), it drops to around $9.80 in value. Once you are above 220 parcels, adding 10 lands will only give you about $7 return in 1 year, making a monthly $10 cost…probably not worth it at all.

My goal currently is to push to the 150-parcel mark, at which point you can’t even buy more land until you have 6,400 AB (Atlas Bucks). That’s because it takes 64 parcels to equal the same pay out rate of 150 when the multiplier drops from x30 to x20. Assuming I can suffer through enough ad watches for 20 parcels per month from ads and continue the ladder, that would take me through January — or three more ladders. The average at 150 parcels should be around $196 per year. 4 total ladders would put me $140 into the hole, but should allow me to be net positive the game in under 1 year.

The current plan will be to cash out and shove it into either debt or dividends, just like everything else.
