I recently talked about growing local community and helping each other out with our skill sets. I wanted to think back to anything I’ve done this month that could be in that same vein.

I helped my Mother In Law with her move in to our neighborhood after she retired in Texas. Another family member was discarding a desk so my son and I disassembled it and took it to my MIL. My daughter had a sleepover with her best friend at our house while the friend’s parents got sick. My youngest did some minor babysitting for some friends.

A neighbor helped plow several people’s driveways, and I used my mom’s snow blower during the big storm to get hers, mine, and my neighbors’ driveways. My oldest friend’s little brother left town for his first professional job in Chicago and we had a party telling him farewell.

Maybe this is a good thing to be conscious about throughout the month. Just like Frugal Friday, I want to bring more intentionality to local community building.

I like this plan. This will be my mini thought for today, time to play some games with my kiddos, and don’t forget if you’re buying something every day, crypto is open on the weekends.
