I’ve had a pretty jam-packed week between this blog, YouTube, X, household chores, and of course my full-time job.
I like to keep weekend posts pretty slim, people are busy, hopefully with friends, family, and fun. I feel like this is a good place to bring up my plan for upcoming posts.
Obviously we have the Frugal Friday series happening on Fridays. That’s pretty easy to remember. Next I came up with my Community Monthly check-in. I plan to do that around the end of each month. At the beginning of each month is of course the monthly update on dividends produced, principal applied, and side-hustle income in the end of month round ups.
Looking back at my Debt articles, especially the ones where I laid out my finances, I think a mid-month Debt progress check in is an appropriate article to produce. This now gives me a plan for seven days out of every month. That’s still a lot of content left to produce.
The end state of this blog is to have solid “evergreen” articles related to understanding finance and financial education, while also having a fun personal journey to Financial Independence. My promise to myself was to post something each day for a year. I can definitely see how less frequent and more robust content will be easier to produce in the future, but for this year I am committed to my one post a day.
Coming soon, I am working on a Glossary page which will live next to the Toolbox. And I will be working on a ‘The Basics of Finance’ series. It will break things down into bite-sized chunks and ideally be linked in a reading order under its category when they are all posted. The X poll picked understanding terminology as the first post, which is great since it will feed into the glossary page.
That’s a peek into the upcoming content, and my stream of consciousness writing has gone far longer than intended. Have a wonderful weekend this Spring.
