My state of Ohio happens to host the second-largest board game convention in the country. It happens mid-June every year in Columbus at the convention center. Last year just so happened to be the 50th one.
This place has given me and my friends so much enjoyment over the years. There are two really cool hotels with sky bridges, but it’s almost impossible to book there these days without selling a kidney.
As a big board game family we stayed about 6 miles away last year and paid for parking for less than half the price of staying at a hotel next to the center; we even parked two cars in case the kids needed to go back to the hotel for a break.
Sadly, this year we are taking a break to get debt paid down and work on more house organizing. If you like board games and hanging out with people this should definitely be on your to-do list at least once. It also starts tomorrow.
