Last week my internet bill went up to $99. I was under the impression that I was locked in with Spectrum in a 36 month plan for $79. Looking over previous bills it was in fact a 24 month promotion. I was also shocked to find out that it had been two years.
But I did what any frugal budget person would do and I called to complain. The kind folks at Spectrum, after a total thirty minutes on the phone, told me that they had an offer of $70 a month for 12 months at my same 1 Gb speed. Sadly I had already been charged the $99 for February so instead of saving me $120 over the next 12 months, I will only save $90. That’s almost two shares of QQQI though, and we know that 2 shares of QQQI is about $14 in dividends per year.
Do you have a big bill you want to lower? Try calling and see if any offers are going on. Not all, but some companies will let long-term customers match new customer offers.
