First, I want to apologize for missing several posts. It’s has been a bit of a drought when it comes to writing prompts over here, combined with a lack of time to write anything. Today, though, I want to talk about Composer: Referral Code (A7G4qdA-TRADE) and the general idea behind AI trading.
Now, the first thing that comes to my mind when I think AI trading is the scene from Limitless where he studies the stock market with his super-brain and then basically never has to worry about money again, because he can just always win betting on ups and downs with day trading. I don’t think AI is there yet — and even if it was, I hope that some kind of regulation would stop it from doing that.
Currently, places like Composer offer different options where the AI takes your money and trades against a certain risk portfolio, with the trades usually taking place by end of the day. Sometimes you can approve or disapprove things, but it’s supposed to be hands off.
I tested Composer with a free trial week back in April, and it turned $100 into $105, but it had something crazy as the required subscription cost. Then SoFi bought them, and just last week made the basic tier available at no subscription cost — which makes it a fun experiment. I’m up to $112 at the moment with it’s daily rebalancing.

Personally, I think index funds are still going to be better in the long run in almost every scenario, but experimenting and reporting is part of what this website is all about.
