This past weekend was a unique garage sale where a very popular non-profit animal shelter rents our massive fair grounds and does a huge sale. As my in-laws are recent transplants to our area from Texas this was a trip for essentials for them.
They had a ton of “nice to haves” I would have liked to buy, including storage cabinets and several other items, but we’re focused on saving money right now. Well, you know what saves money? Seeing a $230 gas weed wacker with gas in it for $30. The thing looks barely used.
My house sits on a rather large corner with a lot of street frontage, and I have many areas to trim down. My Grandfather, even in his 90s, would trim by hand on his knees…maybe it’s what kept him healthy. Either way my experiment two summers ago, and last summer with DeWalt Battery yard tools showed that the weed trimming was just not cutting it. Too many battery swaps.
I’m excited to save $200 on something I was planning to buy this month anyway.
